I too have lost faith in the justice system. Fortunately my situation was not as serious as yours. It galls me to think that people can lie on the stand and get away with it. That's what happened in my case too. If I were to do it, they'd throw me in jail. And then the judge does not even have to explain why he came up with the decision he did so there is no help there either. I can see why people take the law into their own hands. A friend of my daughter's went through a similar experience as you. The family had money and the kid got away with it. He was in the military and they, fortunately, didn't let him get away with it. They kicked him out but that's still not much consolation. Hang in there and take care of your family. I pray that you do not have to see this person very often with him living that close.
